I got home. We had to cancel a festival 'cos I couldn't talk. I was exhausted.
If how much fun you have in measured by how fucked you feel after I probably had one of the best weeks of my life.
Fucking AMAZING!!
The whole tour was brilliant. Everybody we met were absolute legends. The gigs were all rammed packed. The song writing from all the bands was exceptional. We watched the sun rise every morning sat on top the barge drinking what felt like a limitless supply of booze... that always seemed to run out and then more would reappear... some how.
We made some great friends who I feel we'll see more and more of.
I was totally inspired by some of the people on the tour who have influenced what I'm writing and the songs that I am digging at the moment.
Every show was excellent. All bands played stupidly well and it was fun fun fun the whole time.
Best tour I've ever been on!!

It’s day three of the tour and I must say that I’m still buzzing off the gig we did in London two days ago. Was truly mega. One of those shows where you remember things that happened and it makes you smile. Jay Beans on Toast crowd surfing was fucking brilliant and him landing down and shouting “shit my blackberry” (which had fallen from his pocket) was even better. Never really get people dancing to acoustic bands so was cool as fuck to see people doing so.
Spent yesterday in the hot tub mostly. It was pissing with rain but it’s so hot you can be there in all temperatures. It’s like coming out of a steam room.
Then got spanked on cheap vodka and even cheaper orange… this morning woke up with a hideous hangover… We’re somewhere near Henley and cant wait to get on with the shows and more debauched nonsense.

Monday June 2nd (day after launch gig)
Dear god… I woke up this morning on the roof of the barge at 3pm having slept for about three hours. Last night I have memories of getting in and out of a boiling hot tub, finishing over a litre of vodka… and not much else really.
There is definitely a feeling of tranquillity on the water. It’s like it’s a different world to what us land folk are used to. Life is MUCH slower and can only move at the pace of the barge… which I tell you AINT quick.
Last night I genuinely believed I could have solved the world’s problems. This morning it turns out to be nonsense.
Oh yeah the gig was wicked too. Phenomenal in fact. Bloody marvellous. Place was rammed to the hilt and everybody was loving it. Dancing and sweat. Oh yeah.

I've just got over to my parents house after sitting in five hour traffic cos of the damn rugby. Whats with that??
This week we've been reherasing for the tour and it's been really good fun. We're not really an acoustic band so we wanted to make sure everything is tight as fuck. Ya see when the guitars are turned up and noisy you can cover mistakes but your armed with acoustic guitars you need to be perfect cos if you fuck up... thats it. I'm happy to say that it is sounding great.
It's a really exciting new idea going on tour on a boat. We've toured for two years in a van with hideous motor way views so the idea of being on a gorgeous boat with stunning english water way views is VERY appealing!! The barge we're on is damn luxurious with a wide screen tv and sofas etc so there will never be a dull moment...
I fully intend on drinking my liver to the point of failure and singing at the top of my lungs every day.
So now I'm gonna go sleep as I haven't had any for days...
